We are delighted to announce that the 2024 Annual Conference of the Asia Pacific Tourism Association (APTA2024) is scheduled to take place from 3 to 5 July 2024 in Macao. The Macao University of Tourism (UTM) has been appointed as the co-host for this event.
The Asia Pacific Tourism Association (APTA) is one of the largest and most prestigious professional/industry associations in the field of tourism and hospitality. APTA aims to advance tourism and hospitality knowledge and exchange ideas between scholars, industry executives, and policymakers.
APTA has been organising its annual conference since 1995, and for the first time since 2012, will be held in the Macao SAR. The 2024 APTA conference is expected to welcome between 150 to 300 delegates from various countries and regions. Participants expected will include renowned scholars, top executives from global travel and hospitality companies, industry captains as well as senior government officials and policymakers.
The conference welcomes 1. abstracts for standing/poster presentation and 2. TIP (Thesis-in-progress) session presentation. Areas of interest include:

IMPORTANT: The best paper of the conference, including those included in the shortlist, will be invited to be published in the Journal of Tourism Critiques: Practice and Theory upon the agreement of the author(s).
